Lord, I am so excited by what you did through me tonight. I do not know if this particular write-up will ever be shared with anyone since I don't want to sound like I'm boasting.
But Lord, You came with such power tonight. It started when I came with Patricia up to the Altar area. I sort of suspected that I'd get prayed for along with her, but after the prayer team finished praying for her, I sort of ended up praying with them for others. Then Desta came up and asked me to pray for her. I recruited someone to catch her and prayed, wondering if you'd show up and meet her. But You came in power really quickly and down she went. Then Won agreed to catch for me and it was just Won and I praying for people. You came so quickly and so powerfully. I mostly prayed by putting my hands near their neck and praying that You would increase Your presence and Your anointing. In most cases you came very quickly. It seemed that just about everyone I prayed for went down and most of them did it pretty rapidly. I was astonished to see Your power flowing through me like that. I guess it had something to do with the prayer last night and today that You would fill me with Your Holy Spirit -- for holiness, for a sound mind and for power.
Lord, at one point I caught myself getting a cocky attitude and not much happened during my prayer. Then I found myself repenting before You and asking for a proper attitude and then the person fell under Your power. So Lord, please forgive me for the cocky attitude and please help me to have a proper attitude towards You and the ministry at all times. I remember going up to the lady with the walking stick and starting to pray for her. No sooner than I put my hands up near her neck and asked for Your presence to increase than she got a really surprised expression on her face, gave a surprised cry and down she went. And there was that one girl that looked so frightened. I remember asking You to surround her with Your peace. She relaxed and dropped like a leaf before I could even get much more prayer out. I was amazed at how fast people were responding to Your power. Lord, I want very badly to be an instrument of Your power. Thank You for using me tonight. Please continue to use me.
Lord, I remember that one frightened girl that was standing near the front and we moved her back to where there was some room to lay her down. She said she'd been slain in the spirit before but was the first one down and was blown away by all of the bodies laying around the altar. I started praying for her and she did not respond as fast as everyone else. But she did start coming under the power of the Holy Spirit. She started swaying and then she started to fall. She screamed and stepped back to catch her balance. Lord, I felt Your compassion for her. I steadied her and asked that You would bless her standing up. I even put my hand behind her back and helped support her so that she would not be likely to fall. Then I asked You to please come and meet her and remove any fear and release her to receive from You. Eventually she fell again. This time she was not as successful fighting it and ended up sitting on the ground. I continued to pray for her. I could see you over her and that she was receiving something from You, so I continued praying. Then she started to go down again (though there's not much to go down when you're already sitting on the floor). Again she fought it, so I asked her if she'd like to lay down and she said yes. So she laid down and I put my coat under her head as a pillow.
Patricia got up to leave. I showed her where the bathroom was. On the way out, I saw Tammy and Kari from Shoreline so I went up to talk to them. Tammy had not received any prayer yet and was pretty leery about it. Then they made an announcement asking anyone who had not yet received prayer and wanted it to come up. So I took Tammy's hand and she came with me. Peter said hi to me, so I asked him to pray for Tammy, explaining she'd never received prayer before. So he prayed for and she eventually went down.
I decided that I wanted prayer and waited for my turn. When it came, it was very quick. I felt Your power come over me and down I went. Then my arms and legs started shaking. Eventually my whole body started shaking. You whispered something really wonderful to me, but I cannot remember exactly what it was. I think it was something about confirming that You had been working in power through me because You had answered my prayer that You fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Then some kids came up and sat near me talking. They were talking pretty loud and it was distracting. I started becoming so aware of my surroundings and particularly of Patti laying near me. So I sat up and went and prayed over Patti a little. Then I saw Frank standing there but could not find Janet. So I went up to him and asked him where Janet was. He pointed to a body laying on the floor near the exit sign. I went and laid down next to her. Then the laughter hit us both and we spent about 1/2 hour laughing and talking. Peter walked by and waved but did not stop to pray over either of us.
Frank finally carried Janet out and Tom came by to help me up. Then Stephanie and her friend (sorry I forgot his name) came over to talk to me. They remembered me from my Testimony the Previous Sunday. During the conversation it came out that Ed was unsaved. Someone else came up and stared talking to Stephanie and he offered to pray for me. I said sure and he started praying a wonderful prayer for Ed's salvation. I could feel Your presence as he prayed. Then, when he finished, I felt led to pray for him. It was a short prayer. I asked that Your presence on him would increase and that You would call forth Your prophetic anointing that You'd already placed on him. I asked that You would give him the ability to hear Your words clearly and to boldly speak forth Your words. It was a fairly simply and fairly short prayer. Yet Your anointing came all over him and he leaned back in his chair. It really looked like he might have gone down had he been standing. I sat there for a few moments blessing what You were doing with him and marveling at Your power all over him.
Thank You for moving so powerfully through me tonight. Would You please change me and give me a right heart and right attitude so that You will be inclined to continuing using me in that way again? Also, will You please continue to fill me with Your Holy Spirit (and with holiness, a sound mind and power). Thanks Lord. Amen.
