Time To Smite The Shepherd
who will feed the sheep

As requested to bring Holy Spirit illumination on a particular passage of scripture not by need or want but by the need to understand the difference between reading the Bible and interpreting the Bible, thus it's not my job to change your thoughts! My job is to arouse your spirit, thus you go to God in prayer. The legalistic mindset of people who preach the Gospel in word-to-word combat and not spiritual interpretation has damaged the church and as such we release who will feed the sheep.

15So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

* We have to understand that when Jesus asked Peter did he love him more than these we have to have the mindset of what happened. He was referring to the fish. Why? Because Jesus asked them did they have any food. In that we should understand that anyone with an evangelistic anointing should not pastor a church! Why? Because they will teach from a manner of evangelistic love, making them partial and when a person sins they will overlook the person's sin and not preach to conviction because they don’t want to lose members they have worked hard to bring into church. Watch the Spirit of God in Jesus! He said feed my lambs. Why would Jesus ask a fisherman to feed lambs? Because Peter's heart was being tested. A person with an evangelism anointing will forego following the Spirit of God just to save souls. As a result they will make evangelism a priority. Those who are called to other offices thus will often be overlooked because the zeal for evangelism will take over. So in this we have to conclude that an evangelist is not to pastor a church.

16He saith to him again the second time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

* The second time he asked was for confirmation. Jesus knew in his heart that Peter did not understand sheep because that was not his profession in that God changed the word from lamb to sheep. So he wanted Peter to ask him how to feed sheep but because of pride and zeal he did not want to seem as if he were not knowledgeable. A person with an evangelistic anointing does not have the spiritual authority unless they have a prophetic anointing.

17He saith unto him the third time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

* In this 17th verse many miss the prime attribute and/or sign that Peter was not a pastor and with such we can conclude that this famous chapter is not the answer nor the call for someone who stands in a pastoral office to feed the sheep.  Jesus asked Peter the question again, thus we missed that Peter heart was grieved because Jesus asked him a third time. Your heart does not grieve when you talking to the man who heals the broken hearted. Your heart does not grieve when the Holy Spirit is giving you a mandate for your birth. Your heart only grieves when you do not understand what Jesus is saying. It grieves when you go against Holy Spirit wisdom, and it grieves when you don't know who you are. Thus because Peter didn't understand what Jesus was telling him nor did he understand sheep we can say Peter lied when he said he loved Jesus more than anything because you have to die to insecurity and inferiority to be able to become a pastor and/or leader over anything God has.

18Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry [thee] whither thou wouldest not

* Because Peter didn't understand what Jesus was saying and yet he said he loved Jesus all because he wanted to stay in a position that seemed higher than the other, Peter lied to the face of Jesus and thus Jesus was forced to prophesy the death of Peter.

19This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.

* This was not a good propehecy this was a death prophecy and yet many think it was a good thing the way Peter died. To lie in the face of Jesus is death because Jesus was walking in the power of the Holy Spirit. Some of you are operating as pastor with the prophecy of death behind the pulpits being released by the Elijah Prophets and confirmed by all of them, yet you refuse to step down.

20Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?

* Being intimidated about another man's position , gifts, callings, anointing, life, and relationship with God  and not confident in your own position or in the wrong position will bring death to your pastors and your church.

21Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what [shall] this man [do]?

* Whoever God chooses to do whatever, however they do it, and what ever manner they speak is between them and God!

22Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what [is that] to thee? follow thou me.

* Jesus was saying then what he is saying now. Whoever he allows to speak, however, and whatever they speak it does not matter to you! Work out your own salvation by following Christ and be not concerned with another man's burden.

23Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what [is that] to thee?

* Those few verse Jesus was teaching him the gift of what a pastor must do. Understand the internal (spirit) so you can know when a person is being called to ministry, and look for the gift in them that produces the most knowledge a person has in their season. If they are called to prophesy let them prophesy; called to teach, let them teach etc., but because Peter could not tell the age difference between a lamb and a sheep he couldn't possibly be called to a pastor a church when he was unsure of what Jesus was saying and yet he was worried about another man's relationship. So what did Peter do? Because he lied in the face of Jesus he lied telling everybody John wouldn't die because he was intimidated by another person relationship, anointing, gifts, authority, revelations in Christ.

24This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.

* Isn’t it like God to have backup to be watching so they can testify of the truth because they see the error in scriptures, revelations, etc., of intimidated men who have no position in authority yet they use the scripture to say they are called to be a pastor and feed the sheep. Well any pastor that has denied the true gifts of God from coming forth by placing foundational gifts such as apostles and prophets in a “minister” position to sidestep operating in order, this is your letter of resignation. To continue operating in a pastoral foundation will become a hazard to your health. We are in the midst of preparing shepherds who will be smitten by storms and/or death. Many pastors are preaching that these storms are thieves. These are pastors who don't understand judgment because they are teaching under their own vain wisdom, thus you will be exposed unless you find these prophets operating in this dispensation's anointing. No plea bargain, you’re fired without benefits! It’s the Prophet's job to feed the sheep! They don't overlook sin!
