Revelation 4, The Menorah And Hexagram

by Joel Ramshaw

Revelation 4:4-8 Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads. And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle. The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!""

This chapter mentions four beasts which each have six wings. The six "wings" describe the six rays or points on the star of David and are occupied by six of the 24 elders. Each beast has 6 elders assigned to work with it as a team. The beast occupies the central hexagon, with the elders on the points. The six-pointed star is their covenant structure. By this, this team of "seven lights" functions as a Menorah, giving light to each of the four quarters of the earth.

There are two primary symbols in Judaism. There is the Menorah, which is the 7-fold candlestick in the temple of the Lord. The other is the six-pointed star, the hexagram called the "star of David" which is also on modern-day Israel's national flag. Often people see this star they think of the number 6 because it has six points. The true meaning of this symbol however is not six but rather the spiritual number ‘7’ and in fact the six-pointed star is in fact just another way of drawing the Menorah.

The carbon atom has 6 electrons around its nucleus. Carbon is important because it is the primary element that all living beings are created out of. Life is carbon-based. The same pattern is shown in heaven with the teams of elders assigned to work with each beast. The beast acts as the nucleus in this covenant relationship. Also, each carbon atom is able to connect with 4 others to create diamond, the hardest and most valuable structure. This symbolizes the connection of each unit to the other three as well as to God. The "diamond" covenant.

Genesis 2:10-14 "Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads. The name of the first is Pishon; it is the one which skirts the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. And the gold of that land is good. Bdellium and the onyx stone are there. The name of the second river is Gihon; it is the one which goes around the whole land of Cush. The name of the third river is Hiddekel; it is the one which goes toward the east of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates."

In Genesis it mentions four rivers which proceed out of Eden. These come in pairs of two, making four in total. The one pair is Tigris/Euphrates which goes east-west through Babylon. The north-south pair is the Nile along with an unknown river mentioned (which does not exist today). These four natural rivers are only the shadows however. What matters is the spiritual side. These are God's creative flows. They were known to the ancients and Greeks as the four classical elements, coming in opposing pairs of fire/water and air/earth. These four divisions all split out of the pure river of light from God's throne, described as the pure river of Eden before it divides into the four.

On the four corners of the earth there is four lighthouses watching over each quarter. The top of these lighthouses is where the covenant group of each beast with its six elders are stationed; this group is the seven-fold Menorah candlestick at the top. This team of seven is the light of the lighthouse, providing spiritual illumination to the human race on its assigned quarter of the earth.
Each lighthouse has a corkscrew pathway inside of it. And distributes one of the four rivers from the throne to the earth. The river becomes a vortex as it descends through the spiral inside of the tower. The spiral downwards also functions as the winding staircase upwards by which a prophet's spirit will ascend the lighthouse and views future events to take place upon the earth. Each lighthouse is a "Jacob's Ladder" by which God's heavenly messengers go down and His human messengers go up. The four teams are assigned to guard the purity of each of these rivers of God's revelation and provision as the rivers flow continuously through their tower toward the world of men.
