The Final Sowing

Two nights ago I was watching a program on TBN about the revival going on in East London, South Africa and as I saw a certain missionary being interviewed, I was given a vision in the Spirit. I saw the Sower with His bag of seed standing before a field that stretched as far as the eye could see. On the horizon very dark storm clouds were gathering and advancing at an alarming speed. The Sower plunged His hand into His pouch and drew out a large handful of seed and as He did so, I knew that this would be His final sowing before the storm hits; that this was the last handful of seed that would be cast over the field. I saw the wind carry the seed to pre-appointed locations all over the field according to the will of the Sower and as they fell to the ground they took root and began to grow and brought forth very much fruit.

The field represents the world and the Lord of the Harvest is releasing upon the earth a final endowment of those who are born of the incorruptible seed of Christ. This is the final sowing that shall take place even as the storm is rapidly approaching. Many missionaries went out in the 1800s and again in the early 1900s but now shall come the largest handful of seed yet sown in order to bring in the fullness of the harvest before the Lord's return. These who are flung to all corners of the globe are those who have been abiding in the secret place (symbolized by the pouch) until the Word has become flesh in them and now there shall come a release! The final wave of harvesters will go forth, laying down their lives for the sake of the gospel and going wherever the Spirit leads them. They will not be sent out by men but released by the very hand of the Sower as living epistles to be read of all men. They will go not to the public platforms and the glamorous places but to the byways and the hedgerows far from the eyes of the media and the acclaim of men. They will live to please the Lord of the Harvest alone and will be empowered to bring in many souls to feast at the marriage supper of the Lamb as they take up their cross and follow Christ.

Luk 14:23 And the lord said to the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, so that my house may be filled.

Then the Spirit led me to the account of the wedding on the third day in Cana. In that account the wine had run out and then there was a fresh release of wine. The Holy Spirit showed me that this is a parallel picture of the Sower releasing His final handful of seed.

Joh 2:5 His mother said to the servants, Whatever He says to you, do it. Joh 2:6 And there were six stone water pots there, according to the purification of the Jews, each containing two or three measures. Joh 2:7 Jesus said to them, Fill the water pots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. Joh 2:8 And He said to them, Now draw out and carry it to the master of the feast. And they carried it. Joh 2:9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water which was made wine (and did not know where it was from, but the servants who drew the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. Joh 2:10 And he said to him, Every man at the beginning sets forth good wine, and when men have drunk well, then that which is worse. You have kept the good wine until now.

Mary, Jesus' mother represents the church and in this prophetic picture she releases the servants to Jesus and her final instruction is 'whatever He says to you do it'. Here we see a transition from the age where the leadership in the church are those who wield the authority to instruct and send out servants. Now the servants are being released into the full privileges of sonship, being led by the Spirit one and not by man - Whatever HE says to you, do it. The rulership of the Body of Christ is being transferred back to the Head and the servants are being released from the yoke of religion in order to become the sons and friends of Christ:

Joh 15:13 No one has greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Joh 15:14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. Joh 15:15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master does. But I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. Joh 15:16 You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and ordained you that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it to you.

When I first heard of the revival going on in this place I asked the Lord about it and He said clearly to me, ”this is the death throes of the old”. I did not fully understand at the time but now I see that the old form, the old structure, the old way of doing things is coming to a close. The old mother church as we have known it is in its death throes. This is her swan song. Something is dying and something new is coming forth- a many-membered Body of sent ones; an apostolic army of laid-down lovers springing forth from the womb of the morning even as Benjamin came forth from his dying mother. They will be strewn across the earth even as the dew alights in every place on the ground.

The stone water pots represent those servants, full of the water of the Word. They are the servants of man, 6 being the number of man. The servants of man are being transformed into the sons of God! That water was used for ritual hand-washings even as the fivefold ministry has been washing His Bride with the water of the Word. Yet our understanding of the Word is rigid according to our mindsets; our doctrines are set in stone so to speak. We are full of the Word and yet it seems entombed within us and the waiting world has been largely unaffected. Yet now at the command of Jesus, these servants draw on the water of the Word within them and transfer it to a vessel or cup. This in itself requires a laying down of mindsets because that water was previously only used for washing, not for drinking. Yet, leaning not on their own understanding and doing whatever Jesus told them, they discover the miraculous breaking forth and God's glory being revealed. The vessel represents the many-membered Body, the many sons who are one under the Head, the new wineskin for the third day feast. This vessel is carried to the master of the feast for Him to taste the firstfruits of the new wine that is being poured forth. He declares it to be of superior quality to all that been tasted before.

In the same way, this large handful of seed that is being released upon the earth represent those who carry the wine of His love to a world where the wine has run out. They will demonstrate the authentic love of Christ through their laid-down lives for greater love has no man than this, that he lays his life down for his friends. As they pour out their lives for the cause of the gospel, the water of the Word within them is transformed into the best wine which has been saved until last.

Joh 12:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it abides alone; but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit. Joh 12:25 He who loves his life shall lose it. And he who hates his life in this world shall keep it to life eternal. Joh 12:26 If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there also My servant shall be. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

'You are My friends if you do what I command you'. Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. In order for servants to step into sonship, the yoke of religious ritual of past seasons has to be laid aside and a new yoke has to be placed upon their shoulders. The yoke of Jesus is easy and light – WHATEVER HE SAYS TO YOU, DO IT! The Spirit of Lord, the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead will remove the heavy stone lid from the water pots even as the stone was rolled away from the tomb of Jesus. The religious shackles will be left behind like the grave-clothes and from the present workings of the Spirit will come a release of messengers, running with the good news like Mary did that day – He is risen, the grave is empty!

As many saints are moved by the Spirit in the coming days to lay down their lives for the cause of spreading the gospel, the Spirit will quickly position them in their appointed place and they will take root and grow there even amidst the lightening crashes and thundering of the looming storm. The rain that falls will only serve to strengthen their roots and cause quick growth. The prayers of the previous wave of harvesters has come up to the throne and a fresh wave of laborers is now to be released to bring the work to completion.

Mat 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. Mat 9:36 But seeing the crowds, He was moved with compassion on them, because they were tired and scattered like sheep having no shepherd. Mat 9:37 Then He said to His disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few. Mat 9:38 Therefore pray to the Lord of the harvest that He will send out laborers into His harvest.

Joh 4:34 Jesus said to them, My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work. Joh 4:35 Do you not say, It is yet four months, and the harvest comes? Behold, I say to you, Lift up your eyes and look on the fields, for they are white to harvest already. Joh 4:36 And he who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit to life eternal, so that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.

The wedding feast is prepared, the table is set and the final round of invitations is being sent out now, carried by selfless messengers who bear within themselves the testimony of a love so great that a Son was sent. And now many sons are being sent, cast forth by the hand of the Sower. This is the day of His power and out of the womb of mother church will come a mighty army who willingly lay down their lives for Him:

Your people will offer themselves willingly in the day of Your power, in the beauty of holiness and in holy array out of the womb of the morning; to You [will spring forth] Your young men, who are as the dew.(psalm 110:3amplified)

Even now, the hand of the Sower is reaching into His pouch.
