EXERCISE

We are going to ask God to help us explore our own heart this week. We all have areas of strength and areas of weakness and issues that we are dealing with. This week we want to invite God to speak to us in that area and to reveal to us how He sees our hearts and how we can cooperate with Him to be transformed to be even more like Jesus.

I invite you to set apart 15 minutes each day.. for the next 5 days. Spend the first 2-3 minutes praying the prayer below.. or substitute your own prayer which consists of a confession of your faith, then take authority over enemy interfence and invite the Lord to speak to you.

Spend the next 2-3 minutes praying in tongues to stir up your spirit or waiting silently before Him.

Then ask the Lord the question for the day and then spend the next 10 minutes recording anything that He speaks to you about it during this time. (You can handwrite on paper and pencil, or you can type into a file on your computer. If you have problems writing, you might consider getting a small hand held tape recorder and speaking into it what the Lord speaks to you..)

Below is the prayer and the questions for the next 5 days:

Prayer

Dear Lord, In the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, I come before your throne. I am washed by the blood. Christ lives within me. Not just in part, but in my whole being. I bring every thought of my mind and soul into captivity to the mind of Christ. I will listen to you what you have to say to me, trusting you to communicate with me. As I am writing, I will not question it, I will write it down as I hear it and then I will trust you to confirm or correct it later on when I prayerfully review it with you. I am a believer, and I expect to receive. I thank you for speaking to me.

In the name of Jesus, by His power and authority, I take authority over every demon and interfering spirit and I forbid any enemy activity in this exercise. Satan (and any of your demons) you may NOT interfere in this or imitate God's voice to me as I open my heart to hear the Holy Spirit. I take authority over fear, anxiety, doubt and unbelief in the name of Jesus and I command you to leave now. I bind any negative or critical or condemning spirit in the name of Jesus and forbid you to interfere or to imitate God's voice to me.

Lord, please come and be in charge of all that happens here .. Please speak clearly and powerfully to me. Amen

QUESTIONS:

Here are the questions to ask God:

Day 1:

Lord, what do You see as my greatest strength? And how would You like me to use it for Your glory?

Day 2:

Lord, what is my area of greatest weakness and how can I best work with You to get stronger in this area?

Day 3:

Lord, please show me the spiritual gifts You have given me, and how I can learn to be more effective in using them to do with You what You are doing?

Day 4:

Lord, what do You think of my greatest fear? How can I put that under Your Lordship that You might work Your glory in that area of my life?

Day 5:

Lord, please speak to me about the call and destiny You have on my life. Why did You put me here on this earth and how can I best serve You?

Once you have heard from the Lord in these areas, you may desire to prayerfully review with Him what He said to you. You may want to use that as a "launching pad" to dialogue with Him about these areas of your life.
